Driving Instructor Development

Driving Instructor CPD

You've seen countless emails, adverts and trade journals encouraging you to part with your hard earned.... and no doubt you're sick of it

Well how about if someone else pays for it. No gimmick, honest. We provide courses through the Training Alliance and Boston College which are 100% funded by the SFA (that's the Skills Funding Agency)

Initially you will be asked to complete a functional skills course, which will not be beyond you, and that will qualify you for an added value course, either as a QCF Assessor, or a recognised industry qualification as a fleet driving instructor

On completion of your functional skills, you will be able to select your "added value" course

QCF Assessor

As part of your own training course, you will be required to lead 2 of your pupils through the Btec level 1 course: Safe road skills & attitudes. ( All materials are supplied )

You and your candidates will be observed throughout the process. You will assess your pupils as part of your training and your trainer will assess you as part of your qualification

Scheduled over 13 weeks, you will meet with your trainer several times, sometimes with your pupils, as they and you work towards you qualifications

There is no financial commitment from either you or your pupils for this training

As well as the qualification itself, you will find that this course is a real eye opener as you look deeper into your own working practices as an instructor, and also improves your insight into the driving test examiners role

It will change the way you see things
